Having previous experience of designing and artworking Top Trump style cards, I was referred to Ben Lewis TV by a colleague from John Brown Media (cheers Jilly
).I was then commissioned to produce a deck of 40+ cards, based on the style of the classic 80′s Top Trump Cards, as well as providing the final cards as graphic files in formats suitable for use within the film itself.
Ben Lewis is an award-winning documentary film-maker, author and art critic, whose films are invariably commissioned by the BBC, Arte and a long list of broadcasters from Europe, North America and Australia.
…Ben’s latest film is ‘The Great Contemporary Art Bubble’, about the rise and fall of the contemporary art market, was shown on BBC4 in May 2009 and will be broadcast by numerous TV channels across the world later in the year.
Once completed, the finished film was shown on BBC4, a number of other channels and continues to be shown at film festivals around the world.

Unfortunately the cards were never meant to go into production. They were commissioned by Ben Lewis TV and were designed purely as a narrative device for the documentary that was made and later shown on BBC4 (as well as other channels around the world). It’s well worth watching if you get a chance and I’m pretty sure you can view it on YouTube somewhere. If I’m ever approached to put together a full set for real I’ll be sure to publicise the fact. Thanks for your interest though
